Earth Design, Inc. specializes in land use and transportation planning, resource management, environmental review and public policy analysis with an emphasis on conflict resolution. The role of Earth Design, Inc. is to act as a bridge between land use professionals, community advocates, the legal community, government agencies, and other interested parties in multi-stakeholder disputes. Earth Design, Inc. organizes teams of professionals based on the needs and desires of clients. This allows us to tailor a proposal by optimizing technical expertise and minimizing overhead.

Earth Design, Inc. focuses on:

• Assisting all parties in collaborating on systemic solutions to minimize disputes from arising, especially in circumstances where government agencies are under attack in the development review process.
• Facilitating public policy makers, community leaders and other interested parties in identifying common grounds and solutions when there are incompatible governmental policies and regulations.
• De-escalating land use planning, transportation planning, resource management, environmental and public policy conflicts that have become volatile.

Company services include pre-litigation dispute resolution, mediation, facilitation/collaboration, and arbitration of land use and transportation planning, resource management, environmental review and public policy analysis, grant preparation, and economic development analysis. Additional services include geophysics and geologic services, investigations of geologic hazards, water resources and water quality, geologic planning (e.g., liquefaction, earthquake), third party geologic review services, and expert testimony.
